During this time period of the pandemic and virtual concerts, we will not be handing out masses of robes and concert attire to choirs if the majority of the students need to be fitted. Instead, we ask that each choir temporarily abide by the following dress codes for virtual concerts:

Freshman Chorus/Mixed Chorus: Concert Black

All black, no graphics or text visible, top and bottoms, as well as socks and flat, black shoes. Sleeve length and formal vs. casual attire is not as important as the attire all being black with no distracting designs or colors added.

Chorale: Formal Concert Black

Concert Black, meaning all black, full length dress or dress pants and top. Sleeve length does not matter, however no strapless or spaghetti straps allowed. If you already own a strapless or sleeveless dress, please add a black shrug or sweater to the dress for filming. Flat black closed toed shoes.

Concert Choir: Provided Concert Tuxes and Gowns

Concert Black Gowns and Tuxedos previously provided by school. make sure attire still fits and is hemmed appropriately BEFORE recording day… or tape hem up strong enough to hold with a good pressed pleat at bottom. Those wearing tuxes must have black socks and black dress shoes. Those wearing gowns must have black, flat, closed-toed dress shoes.

We do not expect students to purchase new clothes for the concert. Dig in closets, borrow from a friend. Students needing assistance in gathering appropriate attire or shoes to let us know well ahead of time rather than wait until the crazy concert week or the actual recording dates. The more planning time, the better we can supply and send clothes with individuals ahead of time.
