Roosevelt High School vocal jazz offerings are growing in 2022-23. Dedicating two ensembles to this vocal style throughout the year, the program is expanding its offerings for those with all different interests and gifts. Mason Meyer is the director of the vocal jazz program.
Formerly known as Executive Chamber, Vocal Jazz I is made up of 16 voices from the Roosevelt High School Concert Choir. The voices are chosen by tone, sight reading ability, work ethic and blend-ability... both by vocals and discipline.
Coming to Roosevelt this fall, Vocal Jazz II will be a second offering made up of 24 auditioned voices from Concert Choir and Chorale, also chosen for a cohesive sound and motivation.
Look for more to come soon, including the new names of these ensembles!
