A student involved in music can earn a music letter by accumulating 450 points in any one academic year, or by accumulating from year to year.  Once the 450 points have been attained, the student can begin accumulating points towards another 450 points.  When subsequent total of 450 points have been earned, a chevron will be awarded to accompany the letter that had been previously awarded.  Points are awarded based on the system represented by the document attached below.

LETTER OR CHEVRON AWARDS:
Letter points=450
Chevron= 900
1350=2nd chevron
1800=3rd Chevron
2250=4th Chevron
2700=5th Chevron
3150=6th Chevron
