Mixed Chorus (Choir period 6)
These choir members have assigned concert robes housed at the school. On concert days, each ensemble's robes will be hanging on a labeled rack for the students to find before the concert and to hang back up in the same place following.
The dress code that accompanies the robe for all of these singers should include:
Concert Choir, Chorale, Chamber, Melodia, and RiderChor (Choir periods 2, 3 and period 4 lunch ensembles)
Concert Black Gowns and Tuxedos (jacket, shirt, tie, pant) are provided by the school. Garments are distributed during class periods.
It is student responsibility to have any necessary hemming completed BEFORE concert day.
Those wearing tuxes must have black socks and black dress shoes. Those wearing gowns must have black, flat, closed-toed dress shoes.
The reason for the provided uniform attire is to present ourselves and our music professionally in a way that does not single out or spotlight individual students. While dressed and presenting ourselves in a professional capacity, the focus then remain where intended, which is on the music itself. Also in an effort to keep choirs uniform, students are advised that any unnecessary accessories (other than individual religious or cultural requirements) will be allowed.
